Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with some €80 billion of funding available over 7 years. Its goal is to ensure the competitiveness of Europe on a global scale.
Launched on 1 January 2014, the Horizon 2020 programme replaces the Framework Programme for Research. Targeted at innovation and research, Horizon 2020 includes the Framework Programme for Competitiveness and Innovation (CIP) and the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (IET).
More than ever, the European Union considers research as in investment in our future, which is why €80 billion of funding are made available from 2014 to 2020, to ensure growth in Europe, create employment, and improve the lives of its citizens.
While Horizon 2020 is open to all research projects, SPAQuE is particularly interested in the following calls for projects:
- SC 5-7-2015 – « More effective ecosystem restoration in the EU »,
- WASTE 6a – 2015 – « Eco-innovative solutions for waste treatment technologies and management services »,
- WASTE 6b – 2015 – « Eco-innovative strategies for waste prevention and management in urban and peri-urban areas ».
